All art made for this journal is currently traced from in-game screenshots. This is temporary as I familiarise myself with making this watercolour-style art, test brushes, different styles, colour mixing (I have limited myself to a 15 colour palette, 2 being outline/pencil colours), and generally getting used to using my drawing tablet again.
As soon as I have done this, all art will not be traced. I will likely go back and re-do art that was, while keeping a list here of what art remains that is still traced.
In the rare case you would like me to draw a specific piece of art (a certain location, building, creature or character), I am willing to do so. However, I currently have no experience drawing creatures or player characters, and am currently somewhat iffy with drawing plants. Due to this, I'm willing to have a dynamic pricing system. Comissions can be paid for with in-game gold or items (if this is actually allowed in rules), an art exchange, literally anything you can think of, and if all else fails, real money. Due to my uncertainty on quality, I believe an approach of an initial small payment to beging drawing, then a final payment based on the quality of the art when completed. This price can be bartered, but will generally be a sort of "pay what you think it's worth" type thing (don't be afraid to be harsh).
To inquire about a comission, either mail me in-game (Xiaoren), or message me on Discord (mooonsworld) with the comission idea and how you would like to pay for the comission. I'll probably get back to you pretty quickly.
Xiaoren initially started as an excuse for me to just sort of bumble around the world exploring, as well as an excuse to start drawing again. I planned to go through each expansion in order and do at least 1 drawing per zone, generally drawing whatever I find beautiful or cool looking. However, after trying out RP for the first time, I came to enjoy that a lot more. Eventually I was able to find both in-character and out-of-character justifiation to change the purpose from "seeing all there is to see" to simply roleplaying and exploring the world in the present (see "The Decision" journal entry). However I will probably still end up visiting every zone I can.
A lot of the drawings will look a little dodgy here and there. This is on purpose, as it gives more of a travel journal vibe. For my own reference, the colour goes on top of the sketch with multiply filter and 61% opacity :)
